Finding a need and filling it - one act of kindness at a time.
MISSION
To enhance the lives of children around the world: Through faith, hope and love we will provide support to children in the United States, India, and Africa. Address the needs for food, clothing, shelter and health care while providing for emotional stability for orphans, underprivileged, and at risk children.
HISTORY
This organization was formed in 2005 to fulfill a dream of its founder, Doris W. Eakes. In February 2005, when Eakes heard about a nine-year-olds kidnapping and assault in Florida, she decided to not only focus on children in India, but also children in the United States, and especially North Carolina.
By June 2005, Eakes had established Trinity Children Foundation to increase the pool of contributors for CICM and North Carolina childrens charities. To complete a trinity of charities, she began supporting Lalmba, a medical and orphan care group in East Africa. In 2006, she hosted her first fundraiser the Trinity Children Charity Ride, for which 32 motorcyclists rode from Eakes home town, Kure Beach to her Townsend, Tennessee estate, and raised $53,000.00 for North Carolina children.
Trinity Children Foundation is now a volunteer, non-profit organization that is focused on raising funds to support those quality agencies supporting the abused, neglected and suffering children of our world.
VISION
Bring public awareness and accountability to the issues of child abuse and neglect. Increase the amount of funding that will enable the increase in support for agencies supporting abused and at-risk children. The outcome would be that every child has the opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. That a child’s life would enable them to learn, explore, discover, dream and be nurtured in a safe environment without abuse or neglect.
