Southmountain Children and Family Services
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing six therapeutic foster care homes, therapeutic and recreation services, educational programming and school, two group homes to provide Mental Health treatment services for children needing a more intense level of care, the Burke County Child Advocacy Center, known as the "Gingerbread House", was founded by Southmountain Children and Family Services in 1998 to serve as a central focal point for agencies in Burke County who intervene in child abuse cases. The Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina
A non-profit 501(c)(3), non-denominational home for children. They provide out-of-home child care for at-risk children in residential care, family foster care and adoption. The program of care includes educational, social, and spiritual development. Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina is accredited by EAGLE (Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence) an accreditation Commission of the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. The organization is also a member of the Association of Services for Families and Children-North Carolina. The Carousel Center
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to providing services to victims of child abuse. The Center serves children from twelve counties throughout southeastern North Carolina. Prevention of abuse is their goal. In addition to helping the children, they work hard to find a cure to stop the abuse in the family. The Carousel Center is both recognized by and an associate member of The National Children's Alliance. INTERNATIONAL
A non-profit organization working with over 3,000 poor, needy, orphaned, neglected, blind and crippled in the heart of India in the state of Madhya Pradesh since 1983. The hospital has been in operation from 1992 with fifty beds. The Trinity Bal Bhawan (Children Home) provides housing for over 60 orphaned children. The Children's Fund Program provides assistance with food, clothing, medical care and educational fees and supplies to needy children.
Lalmba
"A place of hope", is a small medical, educational relief services and orphan care agency operating in the east African countries of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Kenya since 1962. The orphanages are located in Chiri, Ethiopia and one on the shore of Lake Victoria in Ongoro, Kenya, both remote areas not served by the regular relief agencies. They also run an AIDS orphan care program in both of these places, as well as in the desert villages near Keren, Eritrea.
